PMG has new study area in N Pakistan and links with University of Peshawar.
Dr Ali completed analysis of several hundred gold grains from various localities in northern Pakistan. This represents the first systematic study of gold compositions in a remote area with both epithermal and porphyry gold localities. The University of Peshawar also aims to set up a centre for placer minerals research to support various placer- oriented research projects. PMG looks forward to continued collaboration with Liaqat and his colleagues.
