Dr Liaqat Ali will spend 3 months in leeds in autumn 2013

welcomes Dr Liaqat Ali from the University of Peshawar, Pakistan. Liaqat
has an interest in placer-lode gold relationships in northern Pakistan, and
will undertake a 3 month pilot study in Leeds following fieldwork in Pakistan
during August 2013. The upper Indus valley is a remote area, but both
epithermal and porphyry mineralization is present. The project comprises a
scoping study to evaluate the application of gold grain characterization in an
area of complex geology.
